The Viandante is an ancient scenic path, it offers splendid views of Lake Como passing through picturesque villages, quaint courtyards, mountain churches, terraces with vineyards and olive trees.

We begin by visiting Varenna, a splendid village among its narrow streets and lakefront, and then climb to the village of Vezio, dominated by its medieval castle. Well-deserved stops will allow us to contemplate and photograph these breathtaking landscapes. We visit the beautiful medieval Vezio castle, learning its history. From there we will continue on a gentle up and down between olive groves and exciting viewpoints, see the vestiges of the old ‘water’ funicular that led to the Grand Hotel Regoledo, continue to the famous Orrido di Bellano, a deep and impressive canyon carved over the centuries by the Pioverna River. In a few minutes we will be at Bellano station where we will take the train back to Varenna (4 minute journey, leaves every 30 min.)
