In Schignano, young and old await the carnival as early as January 5, a time of confirming social relations in a village in the shadow of Sasso Gordona that has experienced centuries of emigration.

We will set off on foot from Argegno to slowly enter the atmosphere of the village ready for carnival, perhaps strange pealings will greet us, perhaps fleeting apparitions, perhaps someone will run toward us….
We then eat what we have stowed in our backpacks ( if you bring your own glass a bottle of wine I will bring it) while waiting for the big parade at 2 p.m., at the end of which we walk back to Argegno.
OPERATIONAL INFORMATION: given the scarcity of parking in Argegno we meet at 9:30 a.m. at the parking lot of the GRAN MERCATO supermarket (bar side) in Tavernola di Como
DEVELOPMENT: 450 MT approx. LENGTH: 8 km approx. PACKED LUNCH
EQUIPMENT: Hiking boots and warm clothes, water bottle, the trail is on easy paths, cart tracks and back roads, but it can get cold
