The ‘Grassi’ hut is located at an altitude of 2,000 metres, well exposed to the south, between the Val Biandino and the Bobbio plains, a short distance from Pizzo dei tre Signori.
It is one of the few refuges at this altitude in our area that is also open in winter. We ascend adventurously by jeep to the Biandino basin, where the Tavecchia refuge is located.
From there begins our path through a beautiful pine forest to the Casa Alpina Pio X. The environment becomes increasingly mountainous and … snowy. We climb up along the track to the Camisolo pass, the refuge is just a few minutes downhill. The warmth of the stove awaits us, Anna and her fantastic staff will delight us with their dishes, and at the end of the meal we cannot do without one of their intoxicating grappas.
What to bring: Boots, crampons, poles, gaiters, rucksack, water bottle, heavy clothing in layers. We will assess the need for snowshoes and for those who do not have them we can hire them. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any clarification. LUNCH AT THE REFUGE (everyone chooses a la carte)

MEETING POINT: 8.15 am at the GALLI EZIO car park in via Fiandra 15, Lecco. From there with a few cars in about 45 m. we reach Introbio (LC)
