The Grigne seen from the lake and a village to discover. A new exploration of the secret Lario at the slow pace of the boat, we walk among olive trees, chestnut trees and pleasant glades and discover signs of the past among the alleys of Onno.

Why use a car when the lake has been navigated since Roman times? Here is another delightful walk that begins and ends admiring the beauty of the places at the water’s edge. Around us, mountains such as the Grigne, Resegone, and Moregallo plunge into crystal-clear waters. After disembarking, we calmly ascend between Sasso di Onno and Valbrona, first encountering terraces with the most ‘northern’ olive trees in Italy and then signs of ancient chestnut groves
We enjoy our picnic in a beautiful clearing, an ancient hunting lodge in areas now frequented by mouflon Returning to the lake level, we wander through the alleys of Onno in search of the obvious signs of history: frescoes on the walls of houses, coats of arms, portals, protruding stones where the long ladders used in olive growing were hung.

It’s time to head back, our ship (be it the Giglio or the Iris) is lapping the shore. We still have a good half-hour for an ice cream and to observe the beauty around us in the afternoon light.
I look forward to seeing you at the pier!
