Loop tour in the very scenic Alpe Giumello. Very beautiful in all seasons.
From the meeting point we walk along a very scenic flat path to L’Alpe Chiaro. From here we will shortly be at the Giant Bench, a great spot for incredible photos!
We circle around the mountain along an up and down trail through a forest of Beech trees, then embark on a climb that will take us to a beautiful forest of Red Spruce. Through this forest we will face the last steep climb sprinkled with larch trees that will take us to the top of Mount Muggio, with a 360-degree view of Lake Como, Alps and PreAlps.
From Mount Muggio all downhill to the starting point. Alternatively, you can do the loop around Mt. Muggio passing by the church of Sant’Ulderico.
In winter, hiking poles and crampons may be necessary.
