Let's celebrate New Year's Eve in a wonderful refuge in Valsassina at an altitude of 1720m.
Meet in Pagnona (LC) on 31/12/2022 1 pm.
Depending on snow conditions we will choose to climb along the Strada Militare (engineering work built by our military between 1915 and 1917) or the direct path. This is about 800 m of ascent, distance between 4 and 8 km depending on the route chosen. In about 3h we will be greeted by Serena, the friendly hut keeper, settle in, rest, get ready for the festivities!
Dinner (see below for details), party, and all out to watch the fireworks over Lake Como!
Accommodation in the Camerata. The Shelter provides blankets, You need to bring Sheet/Sleeping Bag, (the shelter can provide a disposable sheet bag for 5€) and Slippers.
Bathroom is communal, there is no shower.
On 01/01/2023 we will have a good breakfast of Cakes prepared by Serena and Coffee! Planned return to the cars in the early afternoon.
